Andy Skrypniak, the Director of Membership for the District spoke to the club about membership. The trend in Rotary has been declining membership but our club is a "Beacon of a Postive Ray of Hope" as our club is increasing in numbers.
Andy had a couple of suggestions:
That when we induct a new member into Rotary that we invite the family of the new member, as Rotary is a family affair.
He also made a suggestion that when there are 5 Tuesdays in a month that on the fifth Tuesday we do something different such as a night time meeting or an offsite meeting.
Andy gave President Mary-lou a book, Frank Talk II, which deal with member retention and he challeneged all of us to read it with the suggestion that the book is passed from member to member.
