Assistant Governor Bob Morrow introduced his longtime friend Kevin Crouse who is the 2013 - 2014 District Governor and his wife Rebecca. Using CROUSE as his guide, Bob described Kevin as Committed to service, happy to be with Rebecca, an Outstanding leader, an Understanding person, a Scholar, and Engaged in the cause of service.
Kevin expressed his pleasure at being at the Dundas Valley Sunrise Rotary Club - the club where he started into Rotary. This year's Rotary theme is, Engage Rotary - Change Lives. He asks that we engage the heads, hands and hearts of every member of the club. Our greatest resource is our present members and we need to ensure they are involved in the work the club does. Sweat equity like the building of the Rotary Rink is a great way to engage members with meaningful tasks.
He asked that the club nominate at least six members for the Head Hands and Heart Award that will be presented at this year's district conference in Niagara Falls from October 25 - 27. He also congratulated the club and its members for their outstanding contributions to the Rotary Foundation last year, earning the club the third highest contributor in the district.
President Jan presented Kevin with a cheque for TRF and flowers for Becky. President Elect Bob Neibert formally thanked Kevin and expressed the club's pleasure that he was district governor.
