Frank Adamson, Governor for District 7090 for 2020 - 2021 presented his vision for this Rotary year.
The highlights of his talk were: A) keep engaging membership. Frank’s goal for the district is for each club to net 4 members. A strong, engaged membership is key to ensuring Rotary’s and the District’s continued success. B) find opportunities to work on Earth Day projects (we will work Sat. Apr. 24) which focus on cleaning up the watersides of our Great Lakes (Erie and Ontario in particular). This initiative has been embraced widely by clubs in Canada and the United States and in co-terminus districts all the way from Lake Huron to the St. Lawrence River. C) Find small but powerful sweat equity projects such as Buddy Benches, Little Lending Libraries and Blood Donor clinics to demonstrate Rotary’s engagement with the community. D) Participate in the Oct 24 Pedal for Polio as a donor, a sponsor or a rider (our own Harold Gruneberg and Scott Vance plan to ride in this event). Frank is visiting all 66 clubs in the district via Zoom. As of today he is about half way through his visits.
