This week’s featured member is Mieke Ewen. A Dundas native, she is a graduate of Parkside High and the Mohawk/McMaster Nursing programme. As the Administrator of St Joseph’s Villa, Mieke is responsible for oversight of the campus operations including those of the Villa Long Term Care, Margaret’s Place Hospice and St. Joseph’s Estates.
These days there are added protocols for COVID-19, but to date the Villa has been very successful in maintaining the health and safety of its residents and staff.
When she is not working or studying Mieke is volunteering at Camp Trillium and with the Dundas Valley Sunrise Rotary Club. However, her number one priority is her family – her husband and three children. They along with the family dog, Diesel, enjoy camping, sports and the creative arts. We are fortunate to have such an accomplished young leader in our club. We look to Mieke as a future President of the DVSRC when the time is right.
