March 28, 2017: Fighting Juvenile Diabetes with Bill Gregory
On March 28th, 2017 Bill Gregory, our speaker for the day, was introduced by Carl Fraser. Bill told the story of his involvement with juvenile diabetes and the Frances Rose Foundation.
Bill ran a big division at Stelco for many years and upon his retirement learned that his infant grandson had juvenile diabetes. (Carl has a niece with the same disease). This started Bill on his charitable work in raising funds to fight the disease and ultimately to his development work with the Frances Rose Foundation. Bill was very generous in his praise of the club and for the work that we do in the community. He was thanked by Derek Dix who coaches a young hockey player with JD.
