Insurance and Transportation

Bonita presented a classification talk regarding herself and her profession, in which she provides insurance services to the trucking industry.
 

Bonita Kearns was born on Boxing Day in the City of Chicago.  After working for a few years in the insurance industry, Bonita was offered a transfer by Allstate Insurance to move to Toronto which she convinced her husband was the thing to do.  She has been an insurance agent/broker for 20 years  and is presently with Dan Lawrie Insurance Brokers, as a Transporation Specialist which means  selling insurance to the Transportation Industry or the 18 wheelers on the highway.  She sells insurance for large fleets which is 10 tractor units and more.  Most of her clients travel to the United States which brings special requirements for them such as US Government filings and the goods that they are carrying across the border.  In specializing in Transportation, she must not only insure the tractor and trailer, but also the cargo, warehouses and General Liability.
 
Bonita moved to Dundas to be closer to her daughter and two year old grandson.  She informed us that she enjoys painting but that her artwork is very technical.
