Devon Evershed is the new Executive Director of Dundas Community Services. She spoke of the organizations new strategic plan and how it is designed to support the 30%-40% of the community that are seniors. There are over 100 volunteers but more are needed to support the various programs offered.
The strategic plan focuses on strengthening infrastructure and capacities; building community profile and awareness; investing in strategic partnerships and alliances; and, focusing on targeted growth.
Basically, the intent is to provide seniors with the services that will improve quality of live while, "Aging in Place".
To assist DCS the club once again made a financial contribution of $1000. Club President John Merrill and Community Services Director Catherine Bishop present to Devon.
