Chantal Vulker came to Canada from The Netherlands arriving in Quebec and then to Hamilton. From a young girl she wanted to be a teacher and did so, teaching high-school mathematics. Ask her about pi if you have time to hear 100 decimal places! Before becoming a teacher she travelled to New Zealand, then Australia where she hitch-hiked across the desert (helping drive the semi that picked her up), then off to south east Asia. While a teacher she helped raise over $100 000 and shaved her head to do it! She also owns Barely Bent Used Books in Dundas.
