Alycia Moore Classification Talk

Our speaker today was club member Alycia Moore, presenting her Classification talk.  Alycia was raised in a small Ontario farming community, Ridgetown.   Values traditionally associated with small towns such as community involvement and close family ties were evident throughout Alycia’s presentation.   A recent member, her connection with Rotary began some time ago with her father being a past president.  Alycia was able to take advantage of an opportunity to participate as a Rotary Exchange Student, taking her to Austria in 2005.  In addition, while attending University of Guelph she spent a semester in Europe, this time in Vienna and enjoyed the opportunity to combine studies with travel.    A graduate of the University of Guelph, she earned a B.Sc in Agriculture with a major in agricultural economics.   During her time at university she worked as a research writer and was published in a number of magazines and periodicals. Involvement with Habitat for Humanity took Alycia to el Salvidor and Jacksonville.   A theatre buff, she has enjoyed roles in Anne of Green Gables and Bird Girl.

Alycia has been Territory Sales Manager for Southwestern Ontario and P.E.I. for Borderlink Vetrinary Supplies since 2010.  The role calls for strong communication skills and a consultative approach with a strong focus on educating customers on the benefits of a variety of products.

A resident of Dundas since April of 2013, Alycia’s upcoming wedding is planned for August of this year.
