Abby Girard thanked the club for choosing her as the recipient of the Ken Turner Memorial Bursary last year. Over the past year she completed year 1 of Medical Radiation Sciences at McMaster. She enjoys volunteering and giving back to the community and has continued coaching the St. Mary's girls basketball team. She has continued working three jobs while managing a full course load and playing a few intramural sports. Being busy like this has helped her become more organized and motivated. Receiving the bursary helped reduce the financial stress and helped her focus more on her education and personal growth. She is very thankful for the club's support and encouragement.
